The Bucket List–in no particular order


  • Graduate with my Bachelor’s (Completed two, August 2012)
  • Graduate with my Master’s
  • Write a novel and have it published
  • Own my own business
  • Fall in love
  • Really get in shape
  • Fly in a Hot Air Balloon
  • See the Northern Lights
  • Climb a Mountain (Completed September 2012, Twin Sisters, CO)
  • The view from on top of a mountain–Twin Sisters peaks CO, 2012

  • Hike a Fourteener (an even bigger mountain)
  • Learn to Snowboard (in process, January 2013)


  • Attend a Concert at Red Rocks
  • See the Transiberian Orchestra in concert (Completed December 2011)
  • Visit a Hot Springs
  • Ride more than one real rollercoaster in my life
  • Ride on a motorcycle at least once
  • Learn a foreign language (Spanish, Completed 2004-2012)
  • Learn a second foreign language
  • Have a work of art displayed in a museum (Completed twice! 2007 & 2008)
  • Fall in love with art again! i.e. keep painting even after high school
  • Become a fabulous (if only personal) photographer!
  • Have a reading with a real Psychic
  • Stay in a haunted hotel room (Completed Halloween 2011)
  • A night in haunted Room 11 at the Silver Queen, Virginia City, NV–Halloween 2011

  • Learn to dance (swing, maybe ballroom, samba…)
  • Learn more about wine/go wine tasting
  • Perfect my pastry making/baking skills
  • Learn to grill well
  • Live on my own in an apartment
  • Live with roommates (Completed, January –May 2011)
  • Find out the family ancestry!
  • Own my own home
  • Get married
  • Make a difference in someone else’s life


  • Travel to Ireland (Completed June 2011)
  •             Kiss the Blarney Stone
  • Kissing the Blarney Stone–Not easy. I am afraid of heights. Your upside down, swapping spit with a rock and everyone else who has kissed it. Unforgettable, right?

  •             Drink a Guinness
  • Revisit Ireland—and gather family history in the process
  • Travel to Scotland (Completed June 2011)
  • Loch Ness–the lake. The real Nessie failed to show up for me…

  • Revisit Scotland and see more of the highlands and islands
  •        Drink another Strongbow
  •        Eat a deep fried Milky Way bar!
  • Study Abroad (Completed Spring 2011, Spain)
  • Go to Vegas (for a reals)
  • Revisit Venice
  • Visit Peru and see Machu Picchu
  • Experience Holi in India!
  • Walk the Great Wall of China
  • See Yosemite National Park
  • See Yellow Stone National Park
  • See the Red Wood Forest (Completed 2005)
  • See San Francisco (Completed Spring 2009)
  • See Paris, the Mona Lisa, Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower (Completed Spring 2011)
  • See Italy (Rome, Florence, Venice, Pisa) (Completed April 2011)
  • Easter in Florence, Italy 2011. One of the craziest, coolest, most claustrophobic experiences of my life thus far!

  • See London (Completed June 2011)
  • Visit Stonehenge (Completed June 3, 2012)
  • Solo Travel (Completed May-June 2011)
  • See Prague
  • Experience Mardi Gras and/or see New Orleans
  • Road trip through the South
  • Travel internationally for my someday honeymoon (or at least go somewhere VERY cool)
  • Take an international trip with my Mom (Completed June 2011)
  • Cliffs of Moher, Ireland with Mom

  • Take an international trip with my Dad


  • See a UFO
  • See a Ghost
  • Meet a celebrity

*Alright, this list is by no means exhaustive. And its a work in progress. Please share your own thoughts on a bucket list and maybe some of your own bucket list desires and experiences. I’d love to know what I should add!

      Your app is actually very cool! If I had an iPhone I’d probably download it right now. It looks like a fun way to chart your goals and share your activities with others to inspire them to do the same. Thanks for sharing!
